About Us

The Festival of Classical Music from the Regions is organised by the NGO mundo redondo, headquartered in Vienna, Austria. The 2025 edition brings Latin American classical music to Vienna through concerts, project presentations, and dialogues with producers and instrument makers.

mundo redondo & MOVE
Through its MOVE platform, mundo redondo fosters art, culture and science as expressions of knowledge—and, with them, the many ways of communicating that knowledge and shaping cultural behaviours in every corner of the planet.

What the Festival Highlights
The festival shines a light on the wider ecosystem that makes classical music possible: the artists and their craft, the organisations and structures that support production, and the traditions that inform how we listen and perform. In doing so, it reveals the factors that shape a living cultural landscape. Production, performance and composition—together with a range of Latin American classical music initiatives—are presented to Vienna’s international audience in Austria’s capital.

Guests of Honour & Special Guests (2025)

For the 2025 edition, the festival welcomes as Guests of Honour the maestras Blanca Uribe and Teresita Gómez, historically renowned figures of the Latin American piano. Special guests include the pianists Ana María Orduz, Eugenia Méndez, Daniel Duplat, Sergio Posada and Pablo Rojas, among others.
